Radiohead on 8 bit and other bits

Not long ago, younger son asked me if I had heard any of Radiohead’s music on 8 bit.  First I had to ask him what 8 bit was.  He said it is the electronic generated music that is often heard in videogames.  I told him no, but then I went out to youtube and found some.  It’s pretty amazing stuff.  OK Computer is particularly well adapted to it.  Click on the link to hear the album:

There is at least Kid A and In Rainbows out there as whole albums and other singles.

Last year marked the 20th anniversary of OK Computer.  The band reissued it, this time with b-sides and previously unreleased songs.  Haven’t gotten it yet but will for sure.

Rolling Stone 20th Anniversary reissue

I love Thom Yorke and I love his stage presence.  The following is a video I come back to again and again.  It’s weird dancing by most standards, but Thom dances to the beat of a different drummer.
