The ivy-covered cottage rests
Set in the clearing of green dale
Where oxygen so thick lays low
Black ink with woe will tell this tale
Of the spirit in the mirror’s
Love for witch and thirst for freedom.
How she dabbled to release him,
With uttered spells and spatterings
Instead she joined him with a cry
Crystal blue gateway’s shattering
The Keeper’s penance must be paid
When foolish work to breach the lock
Between the here and nether worlds,
Forever there is where she walks.
Fandango’s FOWC is dabble, the Word of the Day Challenge is penance, Paula’s 3 Things Challenge words are oxygen, ivy, ink , and Teresa’s Haunted Wordsmith Daily Prompts are the elemental challenge of shattering and the photo.

Great poem, told an enchanting tale!

Thanks Sadje. That one wrote itself. I just tweaked it for line length.
