You have reached a quiet bamboo grove, where you will find an eclectic mix of nature, music, writing, and other creative arts. Tao-Talk is curated by a philosophical daoist who has thrown the net away.

Great photos! You look rather chilly!

Thanks, Dwight! It was cold but not too cold. My face was red from exertion. Climbing up and down and around hills and trees is pretty strenuous. This must have been at the end, as I didn’t know my pic was being taken. She sent it to me later.

That tea blend looks excellent! And irises! (K)

K, every once in awhile I’ll throw a few pieces of cinnamon in there to spice it up. The irises were here when I moved in back in 2011 and bloom faithfully every year <3

Is the puppy in the collage yours? You look more ambitious athletically than I am. It’s been 50 years since I was on skis. Yikes. Thanks for sharing your pix!

Judy, the pup is a magazine clipping, so no. I’m the least fit of the group I went with so I got behind. These are snow shoes, not as risky as skis. You are welcome :)

Still takes a lot of energy. Good for you. I don’t think I’ve ever been on snowshoes.

Yes, it does! Especially when you try to keep up with fit people. Thanks. They are pretty neat and I may invest in a pair. I use ski poles to help me along and it works pretty well.

We haven’t been on our cross-country skis in years. Maybe this winter!

Steve do you have snow shoes? If so, maybe start with those and work your way up to the skis? I don’t own snow shoes; have been borrowing them from my fitness guru. The couple of times I’ve gone out on them has been a pleasant experience. Almost cracked into a stream the first time. What an adventure!

That’s a great Wintertime shot, Lisa. I’ve never had the pleasure of cross country or snowshoe skiing, but I’d gladly take that on someday if I get the opportunity. Rad Dads looks like a fun place to hang out at.

Thanks, Bruce! It is a fun place. A perk to it is that it’s adjacent to the sports arena so you can get your goodies and watch a hockey game at the same time.
