A million yellow-
cushioned buttons, white-framed
polka-dotted carpet.

yellow featureless
faces, wearing white bonnets
look up in the field

A sea of white
with yellow polka-dots —
a bird’s eye view.

Warm summer winds —
music that makes daisies hula,
dreaming Hawaii.

Yellow, white, green
a perfect summer outfit
sunny field runway.
Chèvrefeuille is the host of Heeding Haiku with Chèvrefeuille, who says:
Welcome at a new episode in our weekly feature Heeding Haiku With … This week I have chosen a nice theme I think. Here in the Netherlands we are in the mids of summer and all around us and our neighborhood you can see a lot of field flowers, but the most beautiful field flower, in my opinion, is the daisy. And that’s our theme for this week “daisies”.

Ah! Lovely…I can’t pick a favourite, all are so apt!

Chevrefeuille chose daisies as the prompt because they are his favorites also! Glad you enjoyed them, Susan.
