swans feeding on nearby bayou.

a pretty marshy area by the bayou
a neat cache of rocks i noticed in part of the railing of the bridge going over part of the bayou
You have reached a quiet bamboo grove, where you will find an eclectic mix of nature, music, writing, and other creative arts. Tao-Talk is curated by a philosophical daoist who has thrown the net away.
I wonder what the rock stash is for. Awesome pictures.

Knowing little kids, probably to throw at the swans. Or it could be one of those geocache sites. I didn’t look too close, there could have something hidden in the rocks.

Sadje thank you. I took more today out on my bike ride but too tired to post them right now.

I guess you missed my last post where I said I was taking a break. I’ve been going through stuff here, trying to figure out what I’ve got and organize it. Slow progress, but progress nonetheless. I needed to reorient myself.
Not sure how much I’ll be posting, but I’ll try to check in with everyone. I did want to do a 9/11 post, and once the month is over and hopefully the remaining postcards come in, I’ll do a POPO summary. I think there’s 4 or 5 still missing. Did you enjoy it?

Yes, I must have missed the post. Glad you did what you needed to do and that you will continue to post when you can.
As to POPO I have received 20 cards so far and have hopes to see more? Looking at the facebook page the people who are sharing the cards received average a little less than 20. Kind of disappointing, but I’m ok with the #. I enjoyed it very much, it got me in a whirlwind of creativity that was fun. Starting Oct 1 I will post 1 postcard with its poem per day.

I got one postcard last year in December, but the rest trickled in by the end of September. I think I was only missing one in the end. I think there are 4 missing for me right now. My mail has started arriving almost every day instead of twice a week which helps. The best part for me is sending the cards though–I’ve always sent postcards ro people I know.

Cool, K. I decided to register right away for next year. I’m hooked :) Yes, I love the sending of the cards. I had a used box with pretty smelling baths that still smelled good. As I made the cards I kept them in the box so by the time they were sent out they smelled good. Hoping they did by the time they got to the recipients.

nice photos! Looks like a tiny touch of fall is creeping in up there.

Thanks, Dave. Definitely seeing the turning of a few leaves in the undergrowth, and as I look out back even the pear tree. Not sure if that’s from fall or the drought :(
