What is a Haiku? I see those a lot on WP.

Short form Japanese poetry. 3 lines usually, but line length can vary from 3/5/3 syllables to 5/7/5 and probably other combinations. There are rules about the composition of the lines. Deceptively simple looking. I think they are supposed to describe one moment in time. There is a start :)

Wow. I had no idea.
Having been around firefighters & law enforcement my entire life plus being the ex-wife of a Marine Corps Master Sergeant, there’s not a lot of poetry flying around. The closest I came was my dad & his younger brother always saying “Good food, good meat, good god, let’s eat!” at Thanksgiving & Christmas. Then, there was “Past the teeth, over the tongue, look out stomach, here it comes.” That is the length of my culture. Heh. Rude & crude…😆
