Music that strikes a chord — JP Hoe’s, “Safe and Sound”

Heading out to my mom’s today I scanned the CD tower and picked Winnipeg band, JP Hoe’s, “The Dear John Letters” to listen to on the ride out.  I had forgotten how good this band and this album are.  This is one of my favorite tunes from it.

UPDATE:  I just was going through my email and found this:

New Single Released May 26!

It’s been a long time coming, but we’re thrilled to share that JP has released a new single on all streaming platforms today. Titled “Out Of The Darkness” the song was written in the early and crippling days of the pandemic when he explored how we were living, and what personal legacy, if any, is left behind.

In this modern world, independent artists rely heavily on the community that surrounds them and we hope you’ll have a listen, like, save, share and add to any and all playlists. Hopefully, as more singles roll out this summer, by the time the full album drops in September, the word will be out, and we’ll be able to start planning tours in your neck of the woods.

Enjoy “Out Of The Darkness”.

I left the house at around noon today and the email this is from has a 2:57p.m. time stamp on it.  What are the odds of me picking JP Hoe’s album this morning and the band having an announcement they’ve got new music released today?  Getting the TZ goosebumps.

Wow, I see that, Max. I’ve been listening to that whole CD in the car for the last week or so. It’s a long one, with 17 songs. I keep repeating the first 6. Every listen makes me like it more. Hoping his new album is as good as this one.

I guess that is what it is…at least that is my feeling on it. I love that style of music…kinda like the Band in a way…but of course different.
