We went out to the state park winter sports complex today to walk trails. They’ve added several things there since I went there last, including zip lines, an archery range, roller luge, a massive climbing wall, and a decent-sized picnic area. Not many people out there, probably because most everything was closed.

Nice! I love the doodads!

Thanks, Dwight. Those peppers were picked about a week ago. Long gone now.

Nice pics and I’m glad you had the opportunity to visit the state park. Also, interesting background on this historical ice resurfacing machine. I’ve never been to an ice hockey game. I’m generally not much into sports, though I’d consider visiting an professional ice hockey or basketball game. I’ve done baseball twice – that’s enough! :-)

Hockey is big around here, we have a feeder team (or we used to) and I know there is youth hockey going on here at the arena downtown and at a few private rinks. The winter sports complex now has a rink and an ice path that people can skate along, which is why they need the zamboni (unless this one is an antique and they have a newer one?) Ice hockey is fun to watch but way more tame than it used to be. My folks were BIG Red Wings fans. Stepdad used to go apoplectic watching the games. He played for the local team as a young man, being a big jock. So different than my own dad.

That zamboni is really cool…and historic. Sounds like a really cool place if more were opened.

It’s been years since going there, and a lot has changed. They’ve added a lot of things. First time seeing the zamboni. We checked out the climbing wall which was very cool. There were some younger kids climbing it. Would love to see granddaughter try it when she gets a little older.

It’s neat that it’s a sports complex…that would be fun to go to.

I bought a pass to it last winter but it didn’t snow enough to make it worth my while to go :( Fingers crossed for this year.

Younger daughter went to her first hockey game of the season–well pre-season–last week.
That looks like a great place to walk. (K)
