Henri Matisse, “The Girl with Green Eyes”
Respect walks with air of mutuality
stepping freely and with feeling —
yet it limps when lopsided with agenda.
Strange fur morphs this new beastie.
Its smile shines with stained hollow pegs,
baby doll eyes of emptiness,
its every act now tainted with suspicion.

Quite the scary touch to this one.

It is scary to learn something kind of horrible about a person you thought you knew. It hurts.

Very true Li. These types of revelations are very hurtful

Her eyes are empty…she is a bit spooky and she has a slight cat eye to her.

Nicely done. She’s got those Elizabeth McGovern or Kirsten Dunst eyes – dead with no life to them.

“Respect walks with air of mutuality” – well said, and sadly something that nowadays oftentimes appears to have become a rarity!

I think you’re right, Christian. Good example is out on the road driving. People are rude and beasts when it comes to racing in and cutting, blocking lanes on the highway, and tailgating.

When I was younger, oftentimes, I would get upset when somebody would cut me off or was tailgating. Now I’m thinking life is too short and it’s not worth it. Plus, and I guess this is related, when you yell at somebody nowadays, they might pull a gun on you!
