Red Dragon
Smoke smell
fastened, pulled
from valley, I
climb the hill
to barren ash.
Trauma woods
fire-blackened,
uprights flattened.
Bracken-scaled,
flexing talons,
vengeful dragon.
Imagining what
passion called,
where sense
crawled, slack-
jawed madness,
scorched earth
fashion, happened.
Knight pageant,
cannon-wagonned
batten down for fight.
With this, my method was to go to rhymezone, put in imagine and look for rhymes and near-rhymes.

oooh….loving this dragon! Yours is quite different from the one that appears in Bjorn’s post and the nicotine dragon breath clouds in Kim’s. Lots of dragons today! Great image too!

Every wildfire, spontaneously generated or dragon-flamed, is a trauma woods. I think it would be a little warm to walk in right now anyway.

Happy to hear it. I learned it’s the Chinese New Year Wood Dragon and its ironic this dragon is flaming the forest, but maybe it will allow for new growth this year.
