Born In Touch
All that is,
atoms’ motion,
born in touch,
nudging,
reaching
connection:
eyes meeting,
ears listening,
tongues tasting,
fingers brushing,
words articulating,
emptiness speaking,
souls intertwining
in realms inside/outside
time, space, places.
Old stones testify
through seasons:
each of 10k things
recycled incarnations
in perpetuity.
De aka Whimsygizmo is today’s host for dVerse’ Quadrille Monday. De wants us to write a 44-word poem using the word touch.

“Old stones testify”
Oh, YES. Love this.

Me too, Bjorn. Glad you like the music. I used to do step aerobics to this song many moons ago.

‘Born in touch’ describes the universe, Lisa, and you’ve encompassed it in your quadrille. I especially love:
‘emptiness speaking,
souls intertwining’
and
‘Old stones testify
through seasons’.

touch is the basis of our world from the atom upwards – very creative take on the prompt Lisa – you pulled in some great physics here

I’m a little scared to look into that gorgeous image for too long, in case I get hypnotised. 🤓

Understandable, Gia. My search term was cosmic fractal. Fractals are hypnotizing by nature!

I do believe in those recycled incarnations–that’s true eternal life. That’s a great illustration you found too. (K)

Kerfe, I knew you would grok what I was saying. Thanks on the illustration. Search term was “cosmic fractal.” Have you done any artwork based on fractals? Not even sure it is possible beyond digital creation?

I like fractals but I think you are right, it’s best left to digital creation. Interestingly, it’s not at all like most AI art, which I really really dislike. But geometry lends itself to formulas, which anything that is supposed to represent a living breathing thing does not.

David, I got a message in a dream last night. It suggested that we are sensory receptors in a larger organism. It would explain a lot!

I got back at 6, 3 hours after I left. Between 3 and 6 included a ONE HOUR traffic jam. Listening to the radio I learned a dump truck on the highway caught fire. A bunch of debris from it was all over the highway so they had to shut down both lanes of traffic! By the time I could get out of it 5 oclock traffic was about to start so I turned around and came back home :( Will post pics of it at some point. So frustrating!

Oh I’m so sorry…BUT…I DO feel your pain! Every afternoon I wonder if that is going to happen to me and sometimes it does.
I feel terrible usually…because I’ll be saying things that I am ashamed of….then I see the wreck that I know people may have got hurt or worse….then I feel so guilty….but it’s so frustrating.

And a monumental waste of time. My blutooth is on the fritz AGAIN, the CD player won’t take discs, meaning I had to listen to the radio and its horribleness. I pity you if you have to run that gauntlet for work all the time. YUK

Sorry about your bluetooth…that sucks Lisa…I rely on mine to get me through my hour and a half trek day and night lol.
Lisa I’m going to retire for tonight…it was a long day…I’ll talk to you tomorrow! I’m going to watch some tv with Jen and go to sleep.

Excellent verse , Lisa. So much to think about! Don’t get me started on incarnations. We’ve had many discussions with our friends on that subject.
I like your song choice.
