This is our morning (or afternoon, depending on when I get up) routine. They *demand* this every morning. After opening up the house, I grab first cuppajoe and go over to the couch and look out on the day. The take their positions and away we go. The stuffed animal is Duo, mascot for Duolingo.

Aw, so cute to watch. Our furry babies know exactly what they want. :-)
One of our two cats has developed the habit of jumping on my chair while I’m in there, typically working with the computer, which usually ends with her being in my lap. Like the other cat we still have, we took her in as a feral cat when she was still a baby.
For many years, the cats were extremely cautious and would get scared very easily. These very affectionate sentiments are pretty new. It’s like I’ve been promoted and have become her papa! :-)

Sadje, yes they are. So gentle. The only exception to that is if Dotty gets startled when she’s sleeping on my lap or on my legs. Not long ago I blew my nose, which startled her and scrambled to get away. Her back leg claw nailed me good on the foot. Two scars from it :(
