Before getting into the prompt, I want to congratulate Colleen on her 10th anniversary of blogging on WordPress.  Thank you for the care and attention you give to your blog and to those who gather here to create beautiful poetry.  Also, congratulations on you and your husband’s 39th wedding anniversary.  And finally, Happy Birthday in advance for your birthday on the 18th!

Spring Joy Sanctuary

join in noontime’s dapple
of color-cushioned walls
dwell in sun-speckled falls
cascading bliss

fragrant notes make perfume
song of spring refreshment
winter gone in instant
warmth in our bones

mourning doves are cooing
court in blossomed branches
honeybees with lances
full pollen-pouched

sipping tea while smiling
cozy garden corner
sacred space, adore her
in season’s grace

Congratulations to Colleen on the milestones, and to you Lisa for such a beautiful poem. It richly portrays the image, and I particularly liked the “noontime dapple,” a phrase that captures the lighting’s effects so wonderfully.
