slight wind tickles chimes
at the labyrinth’s entrance
in acknowledgment
of my presence, intention
to meditate, in cool shade
kigo: wind chimes, cool shade
Colleen Chesebro is the host of TankaTuesday. Colleen wants us to write syllabic poetry using kigo for the season.

Oh, this is beautiful, Lisa! I love the tinkle of wind chimes when the wind is but a slight breeze.

Thank you. And it has happened like that more than once as I approach a labyrinth!

You’ve reminded me. Where did I put my bamboo chime that I have had since forever? Must look for and hang!

Some of mine are in bags, as the strings holding them rotted and they fell apart :(

Oh dang! The one I have my son practiced his dealing abilities. He’s still mad at me when I said we’d take it. He wanted to push the price down more (I always feel bad in the Caribbean islands to push too hard!)
☹️ For yours…

Live and learn is the name of the game. One of my sons said he’d restring them with wire, but he is so busy these days, I can’t do anything but wait.
