POPO2024 Day 16

16

We’ve had John Steuart Curry’s
“Tornado Over Kansas”
in our museum since 1935.
The current exhibit brings his
works in from across the U.S.
Walking through it, then
researching him at home,
I see immortal Americana.
From farm boy to painting
political murals in the KS
State Capitol Building, his
dust gleams with gold.

Thanks, K. I learned a lot about him because of this exhibit. Need to get down to the library more often. There’s a regional exhibit opening in the next week or so that I want to see.

I looked at his paintings on google and was really attracted to the landscapes.
