It’s not about what,
It’s about how.
It’s always been about how.
Sure, what is the goal, but
without the finesse of how,
what is is but a figment
that will not materialize.
It applies to art perhaps
most of all. Consider palettes
of roygbiv, alphabet of 26.

loved this Lisa :D

Why is as important as how.

Sadje, will you please say more about it?

In my religion, the why is more important ( why we do something) thing in deciding where we stand. What happens when we act and how we acted, comes second. So even if we did something with good intention and the results weren’t what we expected, we still are in the clear.

Makes sense, Sadje. Thanks for taking the time to explain.

I love the idea of an almost weightless elephant. Lovely illustration and colours.

Gia, thanks. I saw the mushroom and decided to color it psychedelic :)

Your verse today is thought-provoking, and clever, Lisa. And I love the postcard. It takes me back to the Doodle Art brand colouring books from the ’70s (not unlike today’s adult colouring books!).

Thanks, Steve. When I first started blogging I did one coloring a day for a year and included a song. I have a big stack of those adult coloring books. It was a good meditative practice, of listening to the music while coloring.

Yes, you are exactly right! This would go well with my poem. Challenge!

I’m also a little tired of asking “why”. Why did something bad happen to me? God doesn’t hate me. I just had some bad luck.

I would also add that this applies to A.I. being used for art. A big corporation is fine with using A.I. because they only care about the what, but artists love the how.

I like it, and it makes me wonder about the assumptions we make with art.
