They say a house is like a person.
This morning, after looking
into a cupboard that is full
I find only half is crammed
with things I use.
The other half is crammed
with things I used once
and might use again --
but rarely or ever do.
A house is like a person.

Absolutely, I agree! :-)

Very true, and like every person, the house has a personality too, specially the old ones.

I think houses can absorb energy which is maybe how they develop those personalities?

Perhaps! Or we can endow them with personality from how we perceive them

Ditto my drawers, closets, and shelves.
That is some residence for a governor! (K)

I need to hire some of those folks they hire on the Hoarders show to come in and clear it all out. Seriously! About Gov’s mansion, just how many vehicles does he/she need anyway?

Perfect comment about the mansion.
I was just reading a book narrated by an old man where he says he thinks he has so much stuff so he can prove to the world that he existed. There may be some truth to that.

I can see that p.o.v. Buddhists work to get to a place where there is nothing left by the end. We’re a strange species compared to the rest.

Yes we are.

Yup. But, considering my hubs does the grocery shopping …. something he started doing in 2019 after my TKR and just stuck with it …. I am not going to complain about the things cramming my cupboard. 😊
