The Doctor on Vacay
“Master, we’re not in Gallifray,” said K9 from the doorway of the TARDIS.
The Doctor peered out and smiled.
“Looks like it’s vacation instead of stuffy court business. Romana, put on your pink ruffled bikini. I’ll grab the beach gear. K9, stay. We can’t have you getting sand in your tractor belt. Take a look at the navigator while we’re out, will you? She hasn’t been the same since our jump into the asteroid belt.”
“Yes, Master.”
The Doctor and Romana played in the invigoratingly cold water then slogged back to a warm terry blanket to doze under the lemon-lime umbrella.

Note: Fan fic for Dr. Who, who is a time traveler. Tom Baker was my favorite doctor and the only season where I watched every episode. The TARDIS is their ship that is disguised as a phone booth. K9 is a robot dog and Romana (Lalla Ward) was one of the multiple traveling companions in the series. I do love Leela, but Romana was my favorite.

I have never watched Dr. Who, even though I enjoy David Tennant in everything I’ve seen him in. I’ve always been intimidated by the daunting number of seasons and episodes.

I have only really watched that season with Tom Baker. They have changed The Doctor many times. They were up to 5 of them 30 or more years ago. Not sure how many they are up to now.

I hated K9 so much when he was first introduced and then somehow I came to love him. I loved Dr. Who (not much of a fan of the reboot) and I think every doctor was my favorite until the next one. Now you made me want to start at the beginning and watch them all again.
