I welcomed a guest
in this morning. Cool air.
In the night, it stormed.
How do I know besides?
Digital time’s wrong,
meaning power flashed off-on,
and it’s drenched outside.
Soporific storm-blessed,
I got 12 horizontal hours;
that and a wrong time that
wasn’t telling me,
“you’ve had enough.”

How lucky to get full sleep

It’s so rare as to be unheard of to sleep 12 hours. It made me think about how clocks control us.

Very rare unless one is very sleep deprived.

Cool air and a storm…that would make me sleep…best conditions….love the illustration…reminds me of a Spirograph a little bit.

The weather has been fantastic the last couple of days. It is getting cooler at night though. Was down to 43 the night before last! Those coloring books have some neat illustrations in them. I was actually thinking about trying to use them as models for collages as an experiment.

It’s great here as well. When I glanced at the illustration…first thought was spirograph but when I looked I noticed it wasn’t….
That would be a good idea. I read where Fantastic Plantet used things like fabric and anything they could find to enhance it.

Good to hear it. And yes, I need to do some more experimenting with 3D collage.

I liked when you had those creations before.

Yes it was! If I sleep more than 8 I usually get up groggy and disoriented, but not that morning.
On the TT prompt I’ll be working on that early this coming week.

Love the graphic, love the lines – sometimes the body has needs.

Wow, it’s been so long since I last had that much sleep if I wasn’t recovering from an illness. Of course, I won’t mind sleeping until I could wake up after my novel becomes a bestseller.

Same here, Paulliver, on sleeping that much only when ill or recovering from illness. Best wishes to you on your novel. Thoughts matter.

I have a secret wish to just sleep as much as I can sometime without feeling guilty. I don’t know where all these obligations keep coming from, but one of these days…

12 hours, I’m so jealous, Lisa! :-) If it is storming here then I never sleep!
