POPO2024 Day 49

49 1918

We don’t consciously
acknowledge we are walking
through sky, but when fog
arrives, we know we are
walking through clouds.
Weather report says fog today.
So far the clouds are not
below the trees. It’s easy
to see the wind jostling
through the leaves.

I love fog and walking through it…not as much driving though. I LOVE the illustration…it’s like a small pop art piece.

Thanks much, Max. Me too. There is something special about the fog when it appears.

I always thought it was cool and I thought of the Werewolf movies of the English moors.

Yes! I think they get a lot of fog there and it always amplifies the spookiness. I would love to see them add fog at fmg to the glow garden. Wouldn’t that be cool?

That would look really cool with a fog machine or dry ice.

This is a beautiful way of looking at fog… always a mystical experience to see it and how it appears to change the landscape.

What a wonderful juxtaposition of images! I feel the sky more at night somehow, but fog brings it down to earth for sure. (K)

Dale, I’ve never done it before. I do know pics with fog have a special atmosphere to them. Thank you, glad you liked the poem.

Never? You have to one day :) It’s eerie, and spooky but cool, too. I did.

We don’t get a lot of fog here, but next time I see it, I’m getting into it and taking pics.

      1. We get a good amount of it in the NC mountains…. it’s fun to set out on a deck or patio and watch it roll in .

Oh wow that sounds amazing. I saw a movie with fog rolling through the mountains once, but to actually be there to experience it, can’t imagine how cool it would be.

My home is in a low valley… fog happens! Driving through thick fog is a tad errie. Across the creek the fog is often low, but it is getting harder to see because of growth and fallen trees. The company that own that land donated it to the township on that side and it seems to be allowed to remain very wild.

Sounds like a beautiful place to call home. The company who donated the land are to be thanked for leaving it wild.

The company used to mow different sections alternating years… I’m sure there are deer that pass through. Late summer I went to the edge of the creek in the morning and saw a red fox drinking… but after it heard me – it skidattled.
