I like this carefully composed tanka very much — yes, a tiny miracle of this universe, in which an answer is provided without knowing how.

I tend to want to know more about questions than answers…. so that last line made me a bit uneasy,

Looking at a butterfly doesn’t make you uneasy, does it?

Thanks, Colleen. How are you enjoying the weather out there? It’s been snowing all day here.

It’s cold but we don’t have any snow yet. It’s been gray for days. Stay warm, Lisa.

Must be our lake effect snow. You wouldn’t think there would be so much difference a couple hours from each other. It’s 24F here, so not easy to stay warm. Brrrrr!

Truedessa yes, like all of the caterpillars bits are thrown in a bag, shook up, and out comes another being. Thanks!

Butterflies (Flutterbys…) and moths are just so beautiful. I’ve been lucky to photograph a few differeent ones in ‘Butterfly houses’ both local and Aurba.
Occasionally I get singles on plants and during hikes or walks.
Nice words to describe them… 🦋
