granddaughter’s snow spiral
I’ve been snowed in since Feb 12th. I picked up what I’m thinking is the flu on the 10th and started showing symptoms on Valentines Day, right around the time it started snowing …. and snowing and snowing. Too sick to get out there and clear the driveway after waiting until it stopped a day or so ago. It’s been above freezing today and is supposed to be 40 tomorrow. Was planning on waiting until tomorrow morning to see how much will melt; but then I got a message from older son, asking me if I was still snowed in. I said yes. He asked if I had a shovel and I said using a shovel on this much snow would be folly when there is an electric start snowblower in the garage. I told him I had put in an order for grocery delivery for tomorrow morning at 11 and planned on wheeling the wheelbarrow out to the street to load the groceries. He said he was coming over, and he did.
kind, healthy, caring,
winter’s rescuer appears;
waves farewell, job done
Recently I shared a song my younger son thought I would like (TMBG.) Here is one my older son thought I would like. And I love it! Thank you, Son, for being who you are. I am blessed.

Lisa, sorry to know you’re so sick and housebound. You raised a good boy there, for sure! Take good care of yourself. Hope you feel better very soon. ☺️

Nancy, I’m on the tail end of it, but still feeling worn out from it. Yes, both of my sons are good sons and good people. Thank you very much <3

I hope you are feeling a little better…it has stuck around for a long time. I like the song and the backup harmonies a lot…creepy video on their eyes but I like it….it’s different.

Thanks much, Max. Getting better and the snow on the driveway is melting away, yay! Yes the music is good. The video I couldn’t watch it looks like like what I’ve heard people on lithium see :(

So much of this going around…people laid up for weeks. My sister-in-law told me her doctor said it’s the worst flu season he’s seen in many years. I hope you are on the mend.
And yes, the kind of help we can all use (and give when we are able). You did good with your sons. (K)

Kerfe, I know what you mean about flu and other bugs. So much of it going around! I think I picked it up at granddaughter’s library story time. I’m supposed to go tonight. I think I’ll wear a mask; don’t want to get reinfected. Thank you on my sons. They are good people.

I put on a mask at the DMV last week. So many people in such a small room. All the clerks were wearing masks, and mine was even wearing gloves. Best to be cautious I think.

Are you planning on starting to drive again? I don’t blame you for masking up.

I haven’t driven in 40 years but they keep renewing my driver’s license as long as I pass the eye test. I got an enhanced one finally, so I could fly, not that I’m planning on going anywhere now that air safety has been gutted. And for an extra 30 dollars they let me renew it until 2033! Crazy how unregulated so much is–if you are in your 70s or 80s they should be making you take an actual driver’s test–and of course only getting worse. But it’s useful as an ID.

Ah, I see. Mine has to be renewed this year and so thankful. My last pic was HORRIBLE! Not sure what I was thinking with my hair.

Well they took mine 4 times to get the angle they wanted. I can’t imagine but I’ll find out…

Sorry to know that you have been so unwell! How fortunate to have sons that send you music, and your older lad who came and dug you out. Both of the songs you’ve shared from your guys have been unique and interesting. I really like the lead vocal on this one.

Steve, I rarely get sick, and I mean rarely, but I think I picked a bug up from a room of 30 toddlers and their parents. On the tail end of it now. Yes, it was a blessed day when older son moved back to town. He doesn’t live far from me now. My kids took my introduction to music and ran with it. I love both of these songs! Thanks for giving them a listen.

I’m like you, Li; rarely get sick, but when it comes it’s often a doozy! Glad you’re at the tail end of it!
I love it when the music mentoring comes full circle.
