Wild Peace
Rock world rose up
pure and beautiful above,
though lonely in cloud wind.
When we listen with lichen,
feel secrets of river
water deep beneath
winter blanket season,
every seed’s a sacred thing
which thrives by wild peace.

About the image: “Butterflies are Blooming” at Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. It’s the 20th annual event. The tropical conservatory is where they hatch and then flit about. Feeding stations like this one are put around for them. Since it gets dark so early, we weren’t able to see any butterflies, but we looked at the “emerging station” with cell phone lights. Here’s a photo of the station from a prior year:

Love your photos Li. A very lovely poem.
