Funny clip of Gladys Kravitz from old Bewitched TV show
Inside Outside Vice Versa
“Must you always fling such rumpus?”
Mrs. Kravitz badgered, grumpus.
“Life’s too short to worry, lady,
I'm hot potato, life is gravy.”
“Why you wise crack every time?”
Mrs. Kravitz gulped her wine.
“Life is lush, not sour grapes.
Loosen up, enjoy the day.”
Here is a second one for Kim’s Quadrille Monday prompt at dVerse, where we have been asked to write a 44-word poem using the word rumpus.

Very funny, Lisa!

Yet another fun word, Grumpus! This prompt is prompting such frolicking wordplay.
“Life’s too short to worry, lady,
I’m hot potato, life is gravy.”
That’s tea bag worthy.

Bewitched was one of my favourite programmes when I was little. I wanted to be Samantha but couldn’t wiggle my nose. I used to love the way she always bamboozled Mrs. Kravitz. Your quadrille brought back happy memories of black and white TV, Lisa.

I loved the show also. Samantha always had that knowing smile on her face. I liked the stoic Mr. Kravitz also.

It’s just a silly show, where the neighborhood witch has to make sure she isn’t found out. The nosy Mrs. Kravitz across the street makes it funny as she is set up, time after time.

Loosen up indeed, her face was always saying something :) I love the rhyming and the tight construction. Hilarious result.

She was so wrapped up in snooping it became her world. Thanks, Paul :)

Thanks, Rosemary. It’s funny how ideas for poems percolate to the surface. I enjoyed the show a lot as a kid.
