FFF 55 — Release Radar week faves

I’ve started to listen to release radar again.  Now that I have a ginormous number of liked music and musicians they can base customized new release playlists on them. The playlists run from Friday to Thursday, so this batch is from 10/10-10/16.  Every one of these songs are winners in my book.  DAMFINE :) I’ve included YouTube videos and a Spotify playlist at the end.  Please, let me know your favorites.

It doesn’t name her on the banner to the video, but it is Mitski!

I did not see “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey” yet, but I like that song. I am guessing the soundtrack as a whole is pretty good.

Bruce, I haven’t either, but am guessing that also. It’s been a little bit since hearing new Mitski music. What a treat.

  2. Some great stuff on here Lisa. I think Ronnie Wood & Chrissie Hynde and Warren Haynes & Derek Trucks are my favorites. I’m also intrigued by Mitski’s cover of “Let My Love Open the Door.” I haven’t checked out “my” Release Radar in a while! :-)

Let My Love Open the Door is one of my favorite songs. She brings a new sensibility to it. Also nice to hear Chrissie. (K)

I was happily surprised by both of those songs. Townshend wrote some real winners.

Those are all great songs, Lisa, nice selection, though I’d say the Bowie number was my least favourite. I didn’t get into a lot of his ’90s stuff, for whatever reason.

I saw that one was a Trent Reznor remix, and I’m not sure what the original sounded like. I am a fan of early Bowie but don’t know a lot of the 90s stuff and beyond either.
