POPO 2025 — Day 29 — Party Music

Party Music

The neighbors are having a party
with an arsenal of music.
Sometimes one bullet at a time,
with syncopated beats.
Sometimes a stream,
saturated with death potential.
Where do the bullets go as their
sounds reach my ears?
Am I paranoid in my fears?

Maybe that is their intention- to hide the sound of the bullets as they fly! heheheh

Parties seem to have deadly potential these days, Lisa.

Dwight, I didn’t see the dual meaning of party until just now! Thank you for seeing it and sharing it. Thankfully it isn’t as often as it used to be, but during the summer it was frequent. I’ve also noticed that some of the HWSNBN signs that have been along the road since the election have been taken down. Let’s hope some are starting to open their eyes.

We get a few party shootings a year here in Charlotte! It is sad to see it happen. … and one almost every day.

Dwight, are you saying politically motivated murders in Charlotte? What’s the “one almost every day” you are talking about? National political murders?

her it is teenagers and gangs, with drive by shootings into houses. Children and babies getting shot sometimes in the crossfire. Seems concentrated with people who know each other. Maybe drug deals gone bad, who knows. Some as you as 14 with guns!!

Oh ok. I was thinking maybe someone other was killing for political reasons. Turf wars and retaliation can be deadly in the gang mindset.

      1. Oh no. It used to be music business speak for an instant hit. One of the rare occasions a bullet does no harm.

Casey Casey voice: “and new at number one with a bullet it’s a new entry for Lisa with “Doodads and Thinga-me-bobs”

I’ve had neighbors like that. My current partying neighbors are loud, but with voices, not music. It’s the bass line that used to get to me. (K)

Bass lines that vibrate right into your cells. I get cars driving by here like that more than you would expect. Country roads are meant for peace and quiet!

Yes! Cars too! It’s a wonder the drivers can hear at all.
