Dream Home

Honey, I think I found it,” said Fish.

What makes you think so?” said Jeremy.

Description: ‘cozy, wood frame, lots of windows with lake view, cement driveway.’ The clinchers? prime location and the price is right,” said Fish.

Let’s take a look at it first, babe,” said Jeremy.

They hopped the bus near their apartment complex and it took them as far as it could. They walked the remaining two miles. It was just as described. Jeremy stood with his back up against it and concluded he probably could sleep standing.

Their eyes met.

Call the realtor,” he said.

Rochelle Wisoff-Fields is the host of Friday Fictioneers.  Rochelle, thanks for picking my photo this week.  For those interested, the structure is at a nearby Michigan State Park entrance where people buy day or seasonal park passes.  And yes, it really does have a lake view.

  5. At first I thought that was the one at our dam! Now THAT would be a tiny house…they could have added… low electric bills! Realtors do things like this all of the time…so this would not surprise me!
That reminds me…the 1980s…when you could get by with jokes…we would buy newspaper space…”room for rent cheap”at our buddies house addresss. At 6 in the morning people would be wanting to see the room at his house. Within an hour or so he would get wise and I would not answer my phone lol.

Good, Dwight, thanks. The housing situation is getting so bad for people that this story is almost non-fiction.

Thanks much, Colleen. Same for you. Are you getting a lot of snow where you’re at? We are getting slammed. The winds have calmed but so much snow is falling.

James the exact kind of terminology they use. You weren’t a realtor were you? I hear you on the snow. Heaviest snow yet here in MI.

I meant the “snowfall” on your blog. Hard on old eyes. The “unique fixer upper” quote is from the movie “Ghostbusters” (1984).

I wondered if the snow setting actually worked. Now I see it does. Very cool on the Ghostbusters quote. I wonder if this little dream home is haunted, and if so, by whom?

I think I would need a bit more square footage to make this work, Lisa. I’m cool with tiny residences, but a good fit would first require fitting in…literally. Real estate always provides some of the best stories, like this one!😊
