The family met up at fmg on Tuesday. With the bad weather, it had been what seemed like a long time since going there. They have the outside shut down. We played for awhile down in the lower level, where the children’s play area is. We went upstairs and listened to live music and sat in the large banquet room near the big Chihuli hanging installation. Chihuli exhibit is coming in May. YAY!

This is a very casual list of tunes I’ve listened to on Spotify this month. I’m attaching them as YouTubes only but might attach a playlist later.

For once…I’m going to say….no more snow for a while! lol. Love the flowers though.
My favorite song out of the bunch is Paddy McHugh…sounds like it came from 1973 and I love it. I like the Anton Roolaart song as well. The Tiger Lillies….that is different…I like it…a touch of Tiny Tim. Cate Le Bon has a world of atmosphere.

I hear you on the snow, Max. Another 3″ fell last night but the temp is “up” to 34 today. Yes, I hadn’t seen pink peace lilies (if that’s what they are) before. They and their leaves were so beautiful and shiny. I appreciate you giving the songs a listen. Each one caught my ear just right and would like to seek out more of each of their music. Agree on Paddy. The Anton one was kinda prog rocky to me. Tiger LIllies reminded me of Nick Cage. The Cate Le Bon reminds me of David Bowie.

Yes they are very pretty… and it’s nice to see them…even pictures after the white blanket we have been staring at.
The Tiger LIllies…made me listen twice since it is so different… Paddy McHugh I will check out…love that no frills rock…that is right up my alley.

I’m glad you were at least able to meet inside. We need a break! but it doesn’t seem like it’s coming soon. (K)

Perhaps when it gets a little more hospitable outside…wind chill way below zero today and the wind is howling.

Sounds reasonable to wait. It’s 23 and the sun is shining right now. I’ll take it.

Fred Meier looks like a wonderful place from the photos here and other ones you’ve shared. With temps just below freezing yesterday, we took our youngest grandson to a nature preserve in our city where I pulled him on a sled and he tried out snowshoes – he’s a natural!
That’s quite an eclectic grouping of songs. I liked the Paddy McHugh; found the vocal on the Tiger Lillies’ song a bit grating; enjoyed the ethereal sound of Cate Le Bon; and I liked the ambience and the vocals in the Roolaart.
Happy Friday to you!

Steve, your time with your youngest grandchild sounds fantastic. Neat you were able to pull him there on a sled.
Yes, on the music, it’s eclectic. Thanks for giving them a try :)

It was a lovely time together, Lisa. I even got to put him to bed at his home, cuddling and reading to him. That was very sweet. 🥰
I always appreciate being exposed to new-to-me music, so thanks to you!

You still got a lot of snow, so it’s nice FMG has an indoor space! :-)
Also, thanks for the music clips. I particularly like that Paddy McHugh song – nice rootsy rocker. I’m completely new to him. That said, “Street Light Interference” immediately sold me!

Yes we do and got 3 more ” last night. From the comments, Paddy wins the day :) I didn’t know there was a real “street light interference” phenomenon until I heard this song and saw it on google.
