101126 El-Sayed Rally
I attended a local rally for Dr. Abdul El-Sayed for US Senator. We waited outside in beautiful weather and it started an hour late but it was well worth the wait. There was only one person who tried to disrupt the gathering and Dr. El-Sayed used it as a teaching moment for the gentleman. Eventually he had to be escorted out but gently and the crowd kept its cool as it happened. We had to confirm we were coming and had to show ID to get in and I’m glad security was good. Total who attended: 1300. Not bad for a little berg like this.
Right after that I came home, put the bike rack on the car, grabbed my bike, picked older son up and we headed to Grand Rapids. It was a beautiful day for a ride. Granddaughter ran alongside of us part of the way to get practice in. Son saw a small De Kaye’s snake, pulled over, and released the critter further away from the trail. We took a different way than usual and ended up at a nice park near the river.
I did not want to have to unload the bike when I got home. Consider me a tired old broad.
For the usual blogs I read on Sunday, i.e. Max’, Christian’s Sunday Six, and Jim’s Song Lyric Sunday I will catch up on reading them tomorrow or during the week. Hope everyone had a great day and has a wonderful Monday tomorrow.
