image from discogs Sorry for another late posting but it’s still Friday here. Will try to do better next week. While listening to this week’s Spotify Release Radar (from now on abbreviated to SRR) this tune struck me as very pointedly Beatlesesque. Popdudes is the long-running power pop inspired side-project for music scribe, John M….

MMB 2024 Week 2 — “Yellow” (cover) by Bande à part (with update on 1/10/24)
I decided to take a look at my growing playlist of music gleaned from Spotify’s Release Radar to find a musician or band beginning with the letter A or B. It took me some effort to find some information about them in English, which I never did. I’m guessing they are from France, and they…
#SLS — “Thrift Shop,” by Macklemore

Friday Favorite Feature 19 — “Whole Lotta Rock and Roll” by The Immediate Family
I was sitting with Bon Scott backstage at an AC/DC concert. It was incredible. I was having the best time just talking to Bon when all of a sudden, my dog’s cold nose touched my back and woke me up. I shouted, “Oh no!” and then instantly grabbed my guitar and started writing. The song…
