I love watching birds eat.Mama Cardinal hops along,testing each bit with her beakto see if it’s edible. She rollsthem with her tongue and keeps the tasty bits,but gives the best away. Mlady and Dotty love watchingthem also; inches apart, separated by a thin screen,.Dotty twitches. Mama chirpsand she and her young fly away.

Horse fields revert to native flora.Flowers, grasses, shrubs, trees;oak, maple, cottonwood, witch hazel,willow, blackberry, and arrowwood.Fauna sing, chatter, chirp;feeders, watering stations, and tidbits of the compost piledraw them back – and apples.Pileated woodpeckers, possums,humming- and bluebirds,chipmunk, squirrel, and whitetails, who come near to graze at duskafter sweet fallen nuggets.

FFF 50 — Glow Garden at fmg

Every Tuesday fmg stays open until 9pm.  In October, they have a glow garden, which is a path that starts at a main artery and meanders through wooded pathways that lead to the reproduction of Lena Meijer’s childhood farmhouse and farm.  The trees are lit up, and at least two pumpkin artists have been busy…
