Some Q & A – Come Chat With Me

Some Q & A – Come Chat With Me

I have been tagged by Kristian at Tales From the Mind of Kristian.   Please take a look at Kristian’s tales as he creates some interesting ones!

Kristian was asked some questions and answered then. He, in turn, asked me a few. I, in turn, will answer his questions, create a few of my own, then invite you to come and chat with me and do the same. It’s difficult to know who to tag, so I tag everyone.

Rules

1. Answer the questions you receive (straight, funny, absurd, up to you)

2. Create three questions of your own for those that you tag to answer

3. Tag three people

Kristian’s Questions for me:

  1. What was the last book you read and would you recommend it?

I’m usually reading multiple books at a time, so I’ll give you 3 that are either just-read or am-reading.

a. Frank Prem’s, Small Town Kid, published just recently, which is a book of poetry covering a chronological timeline of Frank’s life in a small town in Australia. Frank can say so much with so few words. I highly recommend it.

b. Gay Talese’s, Thy Neighbor’s Wife, published in 1981, is a non-fiction treatise on sexuality, both in publishing and in practice, starting after WWI and continuing to the time of publishing. Gay is a journalist who extensively traveled the country and interviewed many people as well as saw with his own eyes some of the alternative lifestyles the 60s and 70s brought. It’s a thick book that is meticulously detailed but it is well worth the read.

c. Atelier Sento (team of Cecile Brun and Olivier Pichard), Onibi: Diary of a Yokai Ghost Hunter, published in 2016, is a graphic novel beautifully illustrated and tells the story of two young people who travel to Japan in search of Yokai, which are spirits that live in the area and who try to get photos of them. It’s a precious story, as it shows the young people dialoguing with various residents and going to the places where Yokai dwell. If you like anime you will love this book.

  1. What is the first thing you intend to do in January?

Take it easy and unwind from the whirlwind of the holiday season. It hasn’t been that bad, truth be told, but there you go.

  2. What would you like to be different in your life by this time next year?

I’d like to be back to work, at least part-time, and possibly have a furbaby.

OK My Questions to you: Why think of new questions when Kristian’s are good.

        It’s a thriller.
Anne and Marco are invited to their neighbours party but they were asked to leave their infant baby home. They check on her every hour. But at one such point they find their baby has been kidnapped. And the rest I would urge everyone to read it.

I’ve never been a boss (except of my kids) and don’t think it would be all that fun. I was always the one who was getting around the boss lol. Skated on thin ice a few times also with it, but it was worth it, as lives were at stake. On #2 ah yes the monkey on every homeowners back.

Good luck, but remember, bosses get paid more, so be prepared to be paid less as a peon.
