It was a blessed day as the sun has been shining since this morning and still is. After having a fun lunch with one of my friends, we hit a game store a couple of doors down. After getting the download from the clerk that I then texted my sons about, I got this game, which is family friendly and only takes about 20 minute. In it, cats build fireworks. Sounds just peachy.
Next stop was the record store, which carries new and used vinyl. I picked up 3 used LPs and can’t wait to get listening while coloring. Does that sound heavenly or what. The LPs are: The Black Keys’ “The Big Come Up”, The Band’s “Stage Fright”, and Argent’s “Nexus”. Have not heard any of them before; may write about them later.
My friend and I parted ways then. Next stop: the library. You’ll never guess what came in. ::clapping hands with glee::
Checking the mailbox today, look what is now here to watch. Gaudi, one of my favorites. A documentary. I’m like a kid in the candy store.
Christine reminded me to set up my 10,000 lux light. This thing has been at work since older son got it for me as a gift a few years back. It came home when I retired. It really works for gloomy weather, which is most of the time in MI at the end of fall and through the winter and into the spring. They don’t cost much but the benefits are substantial. Anyone whose mood is affected by lack of sunlight would do themselves a favor by getting one. Just 15-30 minutes a day (mine is on now, right next to the keyboard) is all it takes.
And now the piece de resistance (sp?), between the library and home, I took a drive out to the lake. Please enjoy these photos much as I did taking them.
Enjoy the fruits of your treasure hunt/find!

I just finished listening to the Argent one. That was a mind bender, but I liked it. Lots of organ music on side 1. More geared toward guitar on the back. 3 good cuts after first listen. Will keep you posted on Stage Fright and The Black Keys. Watched The Black Keys in concert in UK on youtube. For just a guitarist and a drummer these guys rock.

Rod Argent was the keyboard player for the Zombies. They had some good songs.
I like the Black Keys.

Yes, Punam, it was nice to get out of the house and do the things I love to do. Sunshine is the engine 🙂

I can understand how it must feel when sunshine is not there.
