wikipedia says: Sheryl Crow is the second studio album by American singer Sheryl Crow, released on September 24, 1996 by A&M Records. Unlike its predecessor Tuesday Night Music Club, which was written by a casual collective formed by Crow and several other musicians, Sheryl Crow was entirely produced by Crow, who wrote most of the songs alone or with only one collaborator. Most of the album was recorded at Kingsway Studios in New Orleans, Louisiana. The album covers topics of American life, relationship breakups, and moral and ethical issues, while encompassing a variety of music genres such as rock, blues, alternative rock, country, and folk.
“Sweet Rosalyn,” co-written by Sheryl and Jeff Trott, features saxophone by Steve Berlin of Los Lobos.
During a wild streak in her life
She had a cheap apartment up on Royal Street she brought home
Just enough to keep her on her feet
But if you ask her she’ll say there’s a plenty of things to believe in
Sweet Rosalyn
Sometimes you gotta give in
Sometimes you gotta give in
Sometimes you gotta be loved
She was looking for a good time so she made the call
Got a strangly calm voice on the other line
Sneaky little priest tryin’ to reach out to the swine
Seems to me your zeal for this life has been wearing a little thin”
Sometimes you gotta give in
Sweet Rosalyn
Sometimes you gotta give in
Sometimes you gotta be loved
To know when to run or when to stay in one place
Sometimes you gotta give in
Sweet Rosalyn
Sometimes you gotta give in
Sometimes you gotta be loved

I listened to Tuesday Night Music Club this morning!!

I haven’t listened to her more recent music- i don’t know if she is still a country artist now or not- but i liked her older stuff.
