Sarah is the host at dVerse tonight. Sarah says:

Tonight, I want you to choose 3 names from the list of computer game names below, and somehow or other wrangle them into a poem.  You don’t need to know anything about the game – just let the name inspire you.

Here goes:

Minecraft

Diablo

Blossom Blast

Space Invaders

Assassin’s Creed

Honey Mine

Overwatch

Portal

Doom

The Elder Scrolls

Candy Crush

Myst

Destiny

Unreal

Spacewar

Quake

God of War

Torchlight

Dark Souls

Path of Exile.

That was a lot of fun!

The Elder Scrolls

through myst,

call to me in

my path of exile.

Verdania,

now but faint

green, draws

with the plea

of The Elders —

come home.

  1. Bang on Fantasy time; poetics that remind us of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Conan, and Lord of the Rings; heady stuff, with the game names weaved in smoothly.

  2. You will have to play the games for more, sorry 🙂 I actually know nothing about any of the games included, but its definitely not my genre! Feel free to build upon it. I’d like to see what you come up with…
