Am again listening to Elvis Costello’s, “Get Happy!!”, (1980). Tonight I listened to the 20 track, “non-bonus” disc. Choice that jumped out was “Secondary Modern”. I tried to get information on the song and learned that, per wiki, that, “A secondary modern school is a type of secondary school that existed throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland from 1944 until the 1970s and were designed for the majority of pupils between 11 and 15.”

back in the day- i had a Get Happy! button. I loved wearing that- somewhere along i either lost it or someone 5 finger discounted it… a good song to go along with your coloring would have been Leonard Cohen’s Bird On A Wire!!

You know you just gave me a good idea. I will look at some of these very creative drawings and choose a fitting song. Can’t wait to see what the next song will be :) EC is starting to grow on me.

Glad you are liking it! It was a departure from the first three albums- all great I love the punchy short songs on Get Happy! As soon as I saw those birds that is what I thought- a great coloring job too-
