Fandango’s FOWC is health, the Word of the Day Challenge is monotonous, and Paula’s 3 Things Challenge words are velvet, cloud, hippie
Strawberry Fields had been a hippie for over 50 years. Although the term had faded over the years, Strawberry’s free velvet spirit had not. She no longer saturated her lungs with cannabis clouds of smoke; however, to promote her health, she ate THC-infused baked goods daily. Even when the weather was so bad she was snowed in, things were never monotonous for Strawberry. She kept her special powdered mushroom tea for these cold days. Oh, the trips she took. So many, back to her days of traveling the country on the hippie bus….

Far Out Man …. ;-)

Like Wow… I read this last night and I wonder how many are left out there and still live the life.

The stories they could tell. There is a commune in TN…one of the biggest ones. I need to go there…I think they sell things.

I wonder if they have a communal fire, where they sit around and tell stories? I saw a movie a few months back, called, “Leave No Trace” and there was a commune of sorts out on the west coast of veterans who hadn’t readjusted to society when they got home.

VietNam, at least the main character. I’m not sure if all of the people in what was more of an enclave than a farm were from the same war…

I can see that happening.

Now that looks interesting! I may just have to make a visit there when the weather warms up.

Love the video clip, the original is still one of my top fave Beatles songs

Glad you liked the clip and it is also one of my top fave Beatles songs. I chose this version because it sounded cool and it was a little “psychedelic”. I mean, who expects to hear Strawberry Fields on uke?

I didn’t know there was such a thing as a “uke band”. I found the youtube through a search for [psychedelic strawberry fields]. I don’t know which is more unusual ;)

Well nice moment of serendipity or kairos. There’s a wonderful group – The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain
