I have listened to this CD many many times. There is such beauty and spirituality in Dave & Crew’s music.
Per wikipedia: Under the Table and Dreaming is the debut studio album from the Dave Matthews Band, released on September 27, 1994. The acoustic guitar tracks on the album were played by Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds. During the recording sessions, Matthews and Reynolds would sit face-to-face with a piece of glass between them, playing the same guitar part. This was done twice for each song, resulting in four acoustic guitar tracks (two from Matthews, two from Reynolds) all playing the same part on each song. Producer Steve Lillywhite frequently turned the volume down on Matthews’ parts and turned the volume up on Reynolds’ parts, resulting in Reynolds’ guitar playing being more prominent on the final album. Reynolds then overdubbed additional acoustic and electric guitar parts.
This live performance is from 2016. Two men with guitars. If this doesn’t impress you, I’m not sure what will. There is another video after the lyrics you might think is impressive also.
Satellite in my eyes
Like a diamond in the sky
How I wonder
Satellite strung from the moon
And the world your balloon
Peeping Tom for the mother station
Winter’s cold spring erases
And the calm away by the storm is chasing
Everything good needs replacing
Look up, look down all around, hey satellite
Satellite headlines read
Someone’s secrets you’ve seen
Eyes and ears have been
Satellite dish in my yard
Tell me more, tell me more
Who’s the king of your satellite castle?
Winter’s cold spring erases
And the calm away by the storm is chasing
Everything good needs replacing
Look up, look down all around, hey satellite
Rest high above the clouds; no restriction
Television we bounce ’round the world
And while I spend these hours
Five senses reeling
I laugh about this weatherman’s satellite eyes
Satellite in my eyes
Like a diamond in the sky
How I wonder
Satellite strung from the moon
And the world your balloon
Peeping Tom for the mother station
Winter’s cold spring erases
And the calm away the storm is chasing
Everything good needs replacing
Look up, look down all around, hey satellite
Rest high above the clouds, no restriction
Television, we bounce ’round this world
And while I spend these hours
Five senses reeling
I laugh about this weatherman’s satellite eyes
Songwriters: David John Matthews
And! Bonus Track of Tim Reynolds and his guitar, playing Kashmir.

This is the first time that I heard the song Kashmir by anyone else than Led Zeppelin. It is nice.

He is really good. I like when they use those delay effects. It sounds really good with an acoustic

Guess what I picked up from the library today? “Aquaman”! Going to go watch it now. Oh, I finally got all the way through “The Third Man”. Fabulous movie. Do you watch “Gotham”? I see that the kid that plays The Joker on Gotham looks a lot like Orson Wells! Have a great night, Max, and a wonderful tomorrow :)
