#FPQ — A Gay POTUS, yay or nay?

fpq

Fandango is the host of his Provocative Questions and asks:

“Do you think America is ready for an openly gay person to be elected to the office of President of the United States? Explain your opinion.”

An individual’s sexual orientation is irrelevant to their decision-making skills, their integrity, and their passion to help our country to recover from the descent that has been happening in our land since long before Cheeto took the helm.  We need an individual with positive vision and the leadership skills to take us in the right direction.

There is no way of knowing whether America is ready for an openly gay person to sit in the oval, but if that person is the best choice for the job, then that person needs to be elected.

The only person who needs to care about POTUS sexual orientation is POTUS’ significant other, be it man or woman.

Thanks, Li, for your response. I agree that sexual orientation should not matter, but I don’t think America is ready for a gay president. Apparently America is more comfortable with a sexist, misogynistic president.

Maybe it is time America pushed itself out of its comfort zone.

A lot of us were pushed out of our comfort zone in November 2016.

There are a lot who were not only not out of their comfort zone in 2016 but felt like they were finally IN their comfort zone, with their narcissistic gaslighting new pres stroking their fear-filled, hate-mongering egos. Personally, I don’t think there is anything that is going to interrupt this trajectory of heading towards rock bottom. I’d like to hope there would be, but….

Unfortunately, I agree with you. It’s probably too late.

Agree with you personally, but unfortunately I don’t think the people who voted for swamp thing do, nor do I think Mayor Pete will motivate the non voters to vote.

I agree with you, Jeremy. The time for saying anyone is too anything is over. We’ve seen the extreme negative end of the spectrum, let’s try to choose someone at the other end.
