Still Alive
In the year 2525, humans are still alive – the same humans. In 2100, medical technology leapt by millenia with help from visitors from a planet on the other side of the sun. Bionic gene technology made us immortal. All humans have been sterilized. I just had my 400th birthday. [279 characters]

About the challenge: Each Tuesday I will provide a photo prompt. Your mission, if you choose to accept the challenge, is to tell a story in 280 characters or less. When you write your tale, be sure to let me know in the comments with a link to your tale. This is important as I have noticed that some of the ping backs have not been working.

Wow. I would hope, if that were the case, to stop aging in my early 20’s. But to be honest, I would not want to live forever. 😉

Me neither. By then most of our bodies would probably have bionic replacement parts as well. Not a pleasant scenario!

  4. In 1970 Evans ran into Zager and asked him what he has been doing lately and Zager replied, “Not a hell of a whole lot, Evans. I pretty much just sit around in a depressed funk and think about those few months when we were rich and famous and had all the frills that went with it, and how we lost it all so quickly.”

They should have become trained as gene splicers and then they could have lived til 2525.

Oh, that song… In the year 2525… that song is just….ah… monotonous…It’s interesting but depressing.

That is a bit long to live. It would have to get dull

Yes, the song has some scary/depressing lyrics, and living forever without having children/grandchildren/great-grandchildren would get pretty horrible.

Thanks Kristian! For some reason I thought of the song 2525 and the idea took off from there.
