Carpe Diem Haiku Kai — Fields of Flowers

Field of calla lilies. (Photo from Facebook page @callalily.com.tw)

textured color
rainbow or monochrome —
happy, tired bees drone

*

sea of white lilies
sweet waves rise in warm afternoon —
calls bees to swim

*

summer flowers,
colorful and social,
cluster across fields

*

Pollack’s ideas
whispered to him from flowers –
color-splashed canvas.

*

Ants and grasshoppers
dine under colored parasols
across the fields.

Chevrefeuille is the host of Carpe Diem Haiku Kai, where he wants us to write about fields of flowers.

Woahhh !!! The poem was so aesthetic, I didn’t need to even see the photograph, the way you painted a beautiful picture with your words. Made me escape to a place, lying on grass in a field of flowers….ughhhh….
Also the photograph is beautiful too. But I LOVED the poem. 💙
