From previous posts of mine, From Nonesuch Records’ website:
The Black Keys’ ninth studio album, “Let’s Rock,” [was] released June 28, 2019, via Easy Eye Sound / Nonesuch Records. The long-awaited album, the band’s first in five years, is a return to the straightforward rock of the singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney’s early days as a band. Auerbach says, “When we’re together we are The Black Keys, that’s where that real magic is, and always has been since we were sixteen.“
The album was produced by the band and is their first album since 2014’s Turn Blue. It was preceded by the singles “Lo/Hi”, “Eagle Birds”, and “Go”.
The Black Keys is an American rock band formed in Akron, Ohio, in 2001. The group consists of Dan Auerbach (guitar, vocals) and Patrick Carney (drums). The duo began as an independent act, recording music in basements and self-producing their records, before they eventually emerged as one of the most popular garage rock artists during a second wave of the genre’s revival in the 2010s. The band’s raw blues rock sound draws heavily from Auerbach’s blues influences, including Junior Kimbrough, Howlin’ Wolf, and Robert Johnson. Friends since childhood, Auerbach and Carney founded the group after dropping out of college.
Today’s selection is the single, Lo/Hi. “Lo/Hi” topped Billboard’s Mainstream Rock, Adult Alternative Songs, Rock Airplay, and Alternative Songs charts in the US simultaneously, making it the first song ever to do so. I love the way Dan Auerbach plays guitar!
Out on a limb in the wind of a hurricane
Down at the bar like a star in the howling rain
Nobody to love you
Nobody to care
If you got nobody to hug you
No one to answer your prayer
You get low (Low like a valley)
Then high (High like a bird in the sky)
You get low (Low ’cause you’re angry)
Low, high, high, low
One at a time, get in line for the masquerade
Drink ’til you cry and you’re lying in the mess you made
Nobody to love you
Nobody to care
Nobody to drug you
No one to hold back your hair
You get low (Low like a valley)
Then high (High like a bird in the sky)
You get low (Low ’cause you’re angry)
Low, high, high, low
You get low (Low like a valley)
Then high (High like a bird in the sky)
You get low (Low ’cause you’re angry)
Low, high, high, low
Low, high, high, low
Low, high, high, low
I have heard of this group, but I don’t know any of their songs. This one is pretty good.

I randomly heard them on pandora radio. The group consists of the guitarist and the drummer, who have known each other since they were 16. I was shocked to find out they were white, as the singer sounds black.

Something off topic as always… You told me to try the Red Robin plant burger a few months back…I did yesterday… I did…I really couldn’t tell the difference. It was great.

❤ Great! The price is a little steep but worth it to me. I also found a local restaurant that serves the identical burger at regular price 🙂 OK off topic off topic, did you see my comment on the CCR song? It may be in your spam folder?
