Ultimate Love (Dutch website; photo © unknown)
For My Sons
I’d give my life for
you without a thought; live on —
sometimes think of me.
You Make Me Sparkle
Experiencing
your laugh lights every fiber
of me, like fireworks.
A Prayer
Knowing your grace keeps
me human. Feeling loved, I
beam it back to you.
For My Sons II
From my womb you came
Shining lights show the way:
Love and humility
For George
As you left this plane
Pure light in the next plane said,
Here comes the sun.
Chèvrefeuille is the host of Mindlovemisery Menagerie’s Heeding Haiku with Chèvrefeuille, who says:
Welcome at a new episode of Heeding Haiku With … This week I love to challenge you to create haiku or haibun themed “love ultimate”. Love is in my opinion the ultimate power of the human race … without love we are nothing. Create a haiku or haibun with the given theme. Try to let the haiku and haibun follow the classical rules and your haibun can have a maximum of 100 words including the poems. Have fun!
Update on 8/22/19:
Mish is the host of dVerse today, for Open Link Night (OLN) so I’m linking these there as well.

Loved these. ❤️

Thank you, Bjorn. I just watched the Martin Scorcese documentary on George Harrison, “Living in the Material World” and George’s widow was talking about what it was like at the moment he passed on. It inspired me to write the haiku.

“Its been a long cold lonely winter” – never a bad time to think of that song.
And now I’m listening to it. Thank you for the lovely writing.
