OctPoWriMo2019 — Day 8 — October Days and Nights

Image result for barn halloween painting

Molding leaves merge with pungent pumpkin pulp
Cider mists waft with cloves and cinnamon
Crackling smoke rises white in light grey sky

Time of decay and honoring the dead
Indian summer makes pumpkins grow fat
Molding leaves merge with pungent pumpkin pulp

Hayrides, haunted trails, children’s piercing squeals
Roasted corn, bobbing for apples in barn
Cider mists rise with cloves and cinnamon

Manicured lawns wear technicolor coats
Flannel-wielded rakes peel them off to piles
Crackling smoke rises white in light grey sky
