Jim Adams is the gracious host of Song Lyric Sunday. Jim says:
This week we have Listen/Hear/Talk/Speak and I hope we will all be able to find a song that uses one of these prompt words and I want everyone to try and have fun while you are doing this.
Here are the “rules”:
• Post the lyrics to the song of your choice, whether it fits the theme or not. If it does not fit, then please explain why you chose this song.
• Please try to include the songwriter(s) – it’s a good idea to give credit where credit is due.
• Make sure you also credit the singer/band and if you desire you can provide a link to where you found the lyrics.
• Link to the YouTube video, or pull it into your post so others can listen to the song.
• Ping back to this post or place your link in the comments section below.
• Read at least one other person’s blog, so we can all share new and fantastic music and create amazing new blogging friends in the process.
• Feel free to suggest future prompts.
• Have fun and enjoy the music.

In Your Mind is the fourth solo studio album by Bryan Ferry, the lead vocalist for Roxy Music. It was his first solo album of all original songs. As Ferry’s first solo all-original LP effort, released after Roxy Music went on a four-year hiatus, it was supported by an extensive tour.
from vivaroxymusictours:
The 1977 Bryan Ferry (In Your Mind) Tour was Bryan Ferry’s first world tour without Roxy Music. He performed mainly tracks from his solo albums and a few tracks from Roxy’s catalogue. Chris Spedding joined Bryan for this tour after making a deal with Bryan’s management to help promote his next album ‘Hurt.’ The support band for the UK leg of the tour were Illusion.
Personnel list:
Bryan Ferry Vocals
Paul Thompson Drums
Phil Manzanera Guitars
Chris Spedding Guitars
Ann O’Dell Keyboards
John Wetton Bass
Dyan Birch Backing Vocals
Frank Collins Backing Vocals
Mel Collins Sax
Paddie McHugh Backing Vocals
Martin Drover Brass
Chris Mercer Brass
Reviewing for AllMusic, critic Ned Raggett wrote of the album “…In Your Mind remains the secret highlight of Ferry’s musical career, an energetic album that would have received far more attention as a full Roxy release.” Critic Robert Christgau wrote of the album “Ferry has custom-designed a new line of songs for his solo concept, rather than borrowing from early Roxy or his humble forebears…”
Love Me Madly Again is my choice today. I found it on a lyrics search and it was my first time hearing it tonight. I love everything about this song, and I love the way the person who made the video synched the music with live 1977 concert clips. The lyrics soar, especially how the inimitable master sings them. Every note resonates with truth and passion. The band members play impeccably and mesh seamlessly with each other.
Love Me Madly Again
Are you still cutting it on the street
Do you do you make savage love when you meet
In the zigzag shadows that promise much
Don’t talk about it, show me
Talkin’ about it’s, easy
Don’t talk about it, love me up
Is that lightning exciting ya quite as much
Would I could feel it, would I could touch
Don’t talk about it, it’s not the same
Love me madly, once again
Don’t make it easy for me
Some like it tough you see
Loving is easy for me
A whole lotta love has passed this way this way
Don’t talk about it, show me
Talkin’ about it’s, easy
Don’t talk about it, love me up
Is it as passionate as it seemed?
Was it for real or some kind of dream?
Don’t talk about it, it’s not the same
Love me madly, once again
And should we meet again
Uncertain, out of reach
On the other side of time
Barriers broken
Thoughts entwine
Never words spoken
Love me madly again
And who can draw the line
A strand from me to you
A world apart, a smile
Loving is easy
Hard to end
Love letters tearing
Love me madly again
And when you find the time
Let’s share a silk caress
Somewhere for a while
Mirror to mirror
Frame on frame
Within’ without you
Love me madly again

This is very nice and before listening to this Bryan Ferry song, I think the only song I knew was Love Is The Drug.

I like what I’ve heard from Ferry and Roxy Music. Since Dave has posted them I’ve been listening to a lot of his stuff. That is a fun slide guitar in this one.

Glad you enjoy their music, Max. The lyrics to this just knock me over. “Mirror to Mirror, Frame on Frame”

Have you heard his early solo album that covered some Beatle songs? I’m picky about covers but he does a great job… he did You Won’t See Me and another

No, I haven’t do you know the name of it offhand? I can search for it if you don’t.

Those Foolish Things… I just checked but he only covered one and the Stones and Dylan…. he also did Jealous Guy on another one… I’m missing another Beatle cover somewhere.

I’m with Jim, my knowledge of Roxy music is limited. May have to indulge myself a little more. Loved this.

I think I heard of Bryan Ferry before, what was his most famous song? But I love your pick as it is so 70s rock! I added this to my Spotify playlist!
