I turned the first two into acrostics and filled them out with aspects of each.
The writer’s platform is a framework to build your scaffolding for the story:
Point of View – there is no story without a point of view
Life – the story comes with how people, places, and things interact with each other
Attitude – a character without attitude, or personality, is robotic, sterile, and/or it’s an instructional manual
Theme/topic – you should have an initial idea but keep it flexible as you go
Form – will it be a poem, a short story, an essay, a novel, fiction, non-fiction
Organization – it has to be cohesive; organized does not mean linear (necessarily)
Relevant – connecting with the emotional circuitry of your reader in some way
Memorable – making your story stand out from the zillions of other stories out there
The writer’s cave is where you go, physically or psychically, to write:
Catalyzing – you are the conduit between the story and your audience (including yourself)
Affirming – you have confidence that you are able to tell the story right
Vibrational – you are able to tune in and resonate with the story
Energy wellspring – must have it to draw from

PROMPT #137
I give below three phrases
- Writer’s platform
- Writer’s Cave
Writer’s Reality
Choose one or more to elaborate on your writing journey – not necessarily through this phase. It could be anything that happened before, or you foresee as happening after this.

I’m doing a session on Creative Writing for students in June, and this will be of immense help. Thanks!
I read somewhere that brain mapping of good storytellers and listeners shows identical patterns in both. The storytellers are able to carry the listeners with them.

You are very welcome, Reena. I believe that storytellers become lovers of stories by listening/reading them, then return the favor, in a cosmic sense. I believe you’re right, they are all in the same boat when a story is told. I didn’t realize you were a “formal” teacher, Reena, but it doesn’t surprise me a bit.

Very clever! (But, with my pedant’s hat on, I think you meant ‘acrostic’, not ‘acronym’.)
