Biden is better than the orange stain but far from good. I wish I could disagree with anything that Chris Hedges is saying, but we need to be vigilant against the tide of evil. So…. Biden said he would use Bernie Sanders’ knowledge and consult his plans? He’s being shut out of cabinet positions where he could lead us in the right direction. This is a lengthy essay but well worth the read.

Regardless of where one’s views lie, this is clearly true. Biden won the candidacy BECAUSE he wasn’t progressive.

Yep, more of the same that led to the current dip being in office. Glad Biden won, but… Ever hear the expression we get the government we deserve? After watching this past year unfold, seeing families torn apart by covid, political views, and financial catastrophe, not to mention the continuing degradation of our precious mother earth, it appears we deserve no better — and probably much worse.

I hear you! Bernie is one of the few I trust, and only because he walks the walk. His shot at POTUS just ended and it should be a national shame. Seriously!!!!!! Just like I commented to David (benAlexander) we get the government we deserve. Biden is a step up from the orange stain but not by much.

No not by much. The one part I’m really worried about is the economy. That was actually improving before covid hit. I was getting job calls almost daily….of course that ended!

I agree the economy is in crisis and for the low and middle class laborers things couldn’t be worse. Union-busting is turning us into a nation of slaves.
I was just out and about doing errands (from my car) and was listening to NPR. The housing situation across the land is a mixed bag. Because of such low interest rates more lower and middle income people are buying homes than ever. At the same time, “shell corporations” are gobbling up homes at record rates. They say small-time landlords will be tempted to sell their properties and probably to the big shells. Home ownership is the right of every citizen, but I see things headed in the opposite direction 😦

You know me Lisa…even when I don’t like someone I try to find a positive…with Trump that is hard…but it was the economy….the way those damn parties fight…Biden will rip it all out and EVEN if it is working…. I have a thought…fix what is broken and improve on what is working…just use common sense…but that is it Lisa…They won’t do it….neither party will.
We need a new common sense party…Corporations have had too much power since the 80s…no doubt.
