slimverse — Spring!

grass greening 032121 resized

I’m greening
with the grass,
singing with
the birds — Spring!

Wind at play
tinkles chimes;
blows away
empty husks.

Bare lilac
twigs sprout buds;
transplantee
smiles with sun.

    You make me almost miss the seasons! (But I don’t, in the end, because of my husband’s incessant bitching about how much he hates snow)
    Sweet poetry…….

      People that hate snow do tend to be aggravating, generally speaking ;) Thanks, Stace!

    GRANTED….. I never DID have to walk to school in it my entire childhood and/or dig my car out of it….
    (he lived in Brooklyn).
    But either way, with or without real winter, everybody waits for spring. :) :)

      :) I walked 3 miles back and forth to middle and high school each day in winter with tennis shoes and no gloves and I STILL love winter with snow.

      Agreed on the last bit <3

    Ahhh…..so it’s totally subjective! He just hates snow, lol !!!
    The first time snow fell in Brooklyn (when I was living there for a while), it was like being in a movie. I’ll never forget it. :) :)

    YES I’ve been ready for spring. I’m getting the Jeep Wrangler ready for some spring and summer driving with the top down.

    You had me with the first line “I’m greening with the grass” — I loved every one of these. I am sitting here grinning ear to ear. THANK YOU for this happiness in your words!

    I too am ‘greening with the grass’, Lisa, and our windchimes have been tinkling today. Have you been in my garden?

      Thank you, Merril! This place has one big lilac that was here when we moved in but I like these little dwarf ones for accents.
