I love rock and roll and the musicians who make it. It’s more than just about the music to me; it’s about the origin stories of the songs. For example, I remember learning Ringo Starr’s offhand comment inspired, “A Hard Day’s Night.”
When I saw today’s image, I became curious. As google makes all information accessible – except for stuff like Assange and Snowdon passed on – I did a little digging. The time period and location of it is identical to when Jim Morrison was living in a rental near the recording studio – whose parking lot this is!

Rochelle Wisoff-Fields is the fun host of Friday Fictioneers.
Is that true? Or made up?

The key word is fiction.

Did i see you cheat a little? Was that fiction, I wonder. Anyways, it had your trademark alternative humour. Loved this!

You have us all guessing. Truth or fiction? Both? Well, as you said, the clue is in the word “fiction.” 🙂

Beatles song title is true. The rest…. 🙂

It’s true to me and I’m gonna assume that, that car inspired the song!

The Ringo part is true, but the rest… Thanks, Keith!

He should have kept his eyes on the road his hands upon the wheel, instead of having chosen to let it roll baby roll, all night long?~ I know all about the Ringo story too being so a lifelon ’60’s obsesso.

That is so clever, leaving us all wondering. At first I thought it was the intro to the story… Well done and original.

I love a good origin story, even a fictional one. I read that Jim Morrison and another Door were hanging out on the beach. A beautiful girl walked by. Both were too shy to talk to her, so they went home and wrote “Hello, I Love You.” That one is true, at least according to the book I read.

what a clever use of misdirection. the supposed-to-be introduction became the story itself. 🙂

Plaridel, I think that’s the first time I’ve done it that way but it seemed to work well. Thank you 🙂

Elegantly confusing. I’m going with fiction.

I’m hooked by your idea of the origin stories of the songs – feels like a whole other universe, fiction or fact. I think some lyrics speak to us powerfully. Nicely done.
