dVerse — Quadrille 134 — Get on Board

toothless-baby-smiling

Oh baby girl how I heart you,
a timelessness transporter to
grace divine.

Wrinkles disappear,
gravity lightens
with your toothless smile.

Pitted stone weeps,
chest’s choke cranked,
chugging on the joy line.

Your coo delivers cool
healing to all passengers.
We’re at our destination.

De (aka whimsygizmo) is today’s host for dVerse’ Quadrille Monday.  De says:
Put your heart into it, and pen us a poem of precisely 44 words (not counting the title), including some form of the word heart.

    Lisa,
Transfiguring, transcendent, yet immanent: you capture love’s faces in the face of a child and its beholder.

My heart melted as I saw the image. 💖
Your quadrille makes it evident how much you heart her.
I especially liked “a timelessness transporter to
grace divine”. Made me remember that feeling of divine grace, wing-beats of history, and death-rebirth as I sat cradling my boys as newborns.

    1. msjadeli says:

Helene, that’s exactly what I was thinking about the transport, as she does transport me back to when my sons were newborns. Then I look up and see my son is now a man. Thanks and glad it brought those memories back to you.

I always feel lost on blogs. The gush of positive approval from all sides is like standing in a room with rising water levels. Lukewarm water, but water you know is going to hit your throat and keep going.
